we got a new car!!

some of you might know that our '05 jeep was well....not the smartest purchase in the world. 

we had just had our accident (where the jackass ran into us drunk on the wrong side of the road. yeah...i'm still bitter) so it was sort of an impulse buy for a few reasons:

1. our car was totaled so we were out of a car for 3 months!
2. i was getting anxious and pretty tired of asking friends for rides to the grocery store
3. i just weird not having a car. i've had a car since i was 16 and when i wanted to go somewhere i just went.

...and many more that i won't go into.

long story short i went down to phoenix by myself with a check in hand at 7pm at night, didn't inspect it much, didn't test drive it and ended up paying more than i should have. 1 week later had to replace the whole rear axel and than recently found out we would need to get 3rd gear replaced. so dane was MORE THAN HAPPY to make a choice of getting a new car instead of putting a couple grand into the jeep.

so after A LOT of research and minimal imput for me lol dane found the car we wanted. we went down to phoenix, haggled for no joke about 3 hours and was out with a new car :)

example:

salesmen: "the best i can do is 4500 trade in. i mean honestly if i go any higher they will be turning the lights off in this place"

us: " i understand but we wanted 6000 and if you can't do that than thank you for your time"

salesmen: "okay okay okay....let me talk to my boss and see what i can do"

...few minutes go by.....

boss: "so i hear you are throwing some hard right punches....that poor guy has some bruised ribs"

...we both look at each other...

after about 25 more mins of haggling we left with exactly what we wanted. not going to lie, we felt like rock stars lol
