sharing the holiday spirit in october

9:42 PM
so i've been doing some recent thinking on christmas cards this year. i have always talked about "i can't wait to do christmas cards when dane and i get married!" happy holidays from the eccles just sounded like music to my ears. over the past few years i book marked some websites i would use and got overly excited on which card design i would pick. now i am a little hesitant. not because i don't want to do them or anything but i concerned that people won't want a christmas card from us haha.

what is the point of a christmas card? are you supposed to make a christmas card and then on the back update about the year? everyone knows whats going on in our lives due to facebook and this blog. are people just supposed to have an updated picture of what you look like? anyone who was invited to our wedding already had our save the dates on their fridge from 6 months ago. what is the purpose?

why do i want to do one? simple. i think it's cute. i think it would be soooo cute to have a picture of us in front of a tree or playing in the snow, take a picture of it and send it to our loved ones. is that why everyone else does it? i would really like some feedback from anyone who does a christmas card or is thinking of doing one. do the people you send it to enjoy it? or is it just more unwanted mail to them?
