pretty much the longest post i have ever made in my {blog} life

10:03 PM
*crickets chirp*

ahem.

So i guess you have noticed that i have been gone for a little bit. Almost a month to be exact!

#oops

As you can probably can imagine, Dane and I have been up to our eye balls in all things house stuff! Don't get me wrong…it's been super stressful fun ;) Between the small things like getting internet, water, gas blah blah blah all set up, all the stupid insane amount of paperwork people send you and want you to sign/send back and collecting furniture (because we pretty much pitched everything when we left AZ) to try and fill our home…it's been a little nuts!

But i have loved every. single. minute!!!

I wish i could make up a word to describe the feeling i had after almost 8 months of difficult road Dane and I have been on to get to this point.

^^^^yeah, what they said ;)

Already Jenna, quit yappin' and start recapin'!!!

It was all planned out. It was perfect. We would close at around 3:30pm on Friday the 10th. We would have our mattress delivered around 6ish. We would sleep in our home the absolutely second we got the keys. I quickly learned that these loan people don't give squat about your plans. nope. not even a little. And they seem to leave EVERYTHING to the last minute. So much that it will PUSH. BACK. YOUR. CLOSING. TIME. TO. 7PM!!!!

Which i guess wouldn't really be a big deal except for mattress delivery people are really weird about schedules. They actually like to keep them. Long story short, as we were closing, the mattress guys left our mattress on our doorstep lol. Thankfully my mother in law was available to guard it until we got there haha.

And to our wonderful surprise we came home to a few surprises like a new welcome mat and basket of goodies from our lovely agent!

After all the excitement and emotions settled…IT WAS TIME TO GET THIS BED IN OUR ROOM! It was almost 10:30pm and literally all i had been thinking about the entire day was sleeping in our new bed!!

Last step before getting some shut eye was putting up the temporary blinds.

*pan to the next night*
Dane and I spent the rest of the weekend unpacking and organizing. It was really funny because as some of you know, we lived in a very tiny 500 sq ft apartment in Flagstaff, so to go from that to almost 1800 sq ft is a big big change. We really don't have enough stuff to fill this place! lol But i can promise you now that we have the room…i will quickly change that ;)

For you non-texans out there in the blog world…
..THIS IS A WATER SOFTENER!

{Water softening is the removal of calciummagnesium, and certain other metal cations in hard water. The resulting soft water is more compatible with soap and extends the lifetime of plumbing. Water softening is usually achieved using lime softening or ion-exchange resins.}

Thank you wikipedia ;)
*AKA*
The water out here sucks and this stupid expensive well worth the money machine helps keep our hair and skin pretty all year long.

Now here are some randoms of the first 48 hours into our move.
{I will be doing a home tour sometime soon with better photos}

About a week after we moved in, the amazing Jennie stopped by for a 3 hour quick shoot to create some memories that i will never forget! This is a big moment that we have been talking/waiting/planning/working hard for and i am so grateful i will have these forever!!

Dane and I are so incredibly happy right now. A completely new chapter is upon us and i am so excited to see what it has in store for us. It was really scary leaving Arizona and taking the leap of faith that we could making a good life in Texas. I think we are on a really good track so far :) :)
