much needed recap...

so dane and i have had a very busy previous week...well atleast i did! lol 

a coworker of mine named tina had recently been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. so to help her with the all the medical bills we are sure she is going to rack up we decided to do a benefit rummage & bake sale! now since it was going to be held the 4th of july weekend (and i of course was going to be home in california) i decided that since i couldn't be there i would bake my little bottom off! and so i did.

i pretty much spent about an entire week baking in total. a lot of things had to be frozen. i made cupcakes and brownies and a lot a lot a lot of cookies! i thought it would be cute to put the brownies and cookies in little treat bags, grace and i made the cupcakes teal because that's the color of ovarian cancer.

i really really wanted to make a great sign! (remember i am NOT creative or original by any means!) i thought that with a great sign it would attract more people..bring more money...etc etc. so i saw this sign a few days before the sale

and i feel in love!! OMG i wanted to make one just like it! but when reality set in and it became more expensive and time consuming that i thought...the idea had to be scrapped.

so grace and i spent 2 looooong and laaaaaaaate nights but we finished. i don't love our sign but at 1 am...i didn't care anymore haha.

....AND THAN IT WAS TIME TO GO HOME!!!!!!!
